From a standing start in early 2008, we have now sold 8 planvu solutions to Local Authorities across the UK. Planvu is our interactive web mapping solution, designed for use throughout the Local Development Framework (LDF).
Available as a hosted solution or as an install, planvu has been bought as an easy to use interactive mapping solution to allow authorities to publish their maps and provide stakeholders with bi-directional links to HMTL textual information or indeed to any of the vendor specific e – consultation software solutions.
Speaking about Basingstoke and Dean’s planvu solution Mark Lambert, Principal Planning Officer said “As you know, Planvu is now up and running on our website and we’ve had some useful positive feedback on it from colleagues and members of the public. I’m sure it will help to save the time of members of the public and officers in the future.”
Although planvu is essentially a product, tailored solutions have been supplied to the following Councils; Basingstoke and Dean Borough Council, Tynedale Council, Tendring District Council, Gateshead Council:
- Basingstoke view live planvu
- Tendring view live planvu
- Tynedale view live planvu
- Gateshead view live planvu
The links above are all hosted solutions provided by us; these authorities have their Adopted Proposals Map as an interactive website with links to varying textual documents including policies saved from the Local Plan and policies relating to the Core Strategy within the LDF.
Both Basingstoke and Gateshead are Limehouse users and will be able to have planvu linked to Limehouse as their Core Strategy progresses throughout 2009.
In addition to the example sites above, Burnley, Bedford, Norwich and Croydon have all decided to take planvu and these solutions shall become live and available in the coming months.
